Our Industrial Park

Our Industrial Park

History

The 4,400 acre industrial site was formerly a surface coal mining operation. Coal removal ended in 2006.  The Washington State Legislature designated areas of the reclaimed mine site as a new industrial park (Revised Code of Washington 36.70A.368). This reclaimed brownfield offers opportunity for 24/7 operation, expedited permit approvals, job skills partnerships, and a competitive operating cost profile.

This heavy industrial area is located equidistants between Seattle and Portland, on the Interstate 5 corridor. It has good access to both air and water ports as well as major north-south and east-west truck/rail corridors.

The site was chosen as an ideal location that allows for major industrial investment in an area which enjoys open space, with wild and scenic beauty.
